On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Anastasia Goriva who is a Ukrainian refugee in Ireland that has recently started a volleyball club called ‘Sunflowers VC’ in Ennis. Firstly, Anastasia described her move to Ireland where she has received such a kind welcoming from the people of County Clare. She outlined the difficulties she felt on her journey in Ireland and therefore decided to begin a volleyball club to benefit her physical and mental wellness. Anastasia expressed her struggle in finding a court to host volleyball sessions on while running a club with over 20 members currently. She urged anyone who may be interested in playing volleyball to attend the weekly training session every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at the sports hall on the grounds of Colaiste Mhuire.
