On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Mary Sheahan who is a Tusla Social Worker along with Anne Marie who is a Clare based foster carer. Mary previewed the upcoming online information sessions which will be held by Tusla in order to provide advice and information regarding becoming a foster parent. She discussed the various types of foster care that there are and encouraged anyone who may be interested to join the online information sessions next Thursday March 8th at 10 am and 7pm. Anne Marie discussed her experience as a foster carer and mentioned how rewarding it was to welcome a foster child into her family. She mentioned the various aspects that a family must consider before becoming foster parents and recalled the process which ensured she and her family were ready.
