On Friday’s Morning Focus, Pat Flynn was joined by MacDara Ó Canaola, an Aran Islands native residing in Ennis.
The song “Peigín is Peadar” by Sarah Ghriallais and MacDara Ó’Conaola, was written and produced during the days of the COVID-19 lockdown and all the proceeds of the song will go towards the Alzheimer Society Ireland.
Sarah and MacDara will perform the song at this year’s Feakle Festival on Saturday the 12th of August in Moloney’s at 3.30pm.
MacDara explained how he had been involved in music from a young age and grew up singing.
He also discussed traditional Irish and Sean-nós styled music and highlighted how “Peigín is Peadar” was produced.
