On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Tara Donnellan, Member of the Ennis Toastmasters and Alan Davis, Vice President of Toastmasters.
Toastmasters is an educational organisation that encourages members to develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills, and the Ennis Toastmasters Club welcomes everyone from 18 years upwards and continues to contribute to the social and cultural fabric of the town and its surrounds.
The Ennis Toastmasters Club’s 50th season gets underway next week.
Alan Davis explained that Ennis Toastmasters is a safe space to enhance your confidence and skills in public speaking.
He also highlighted that Toastmasters can provide education if necessary.
Tara outlined a few activities they do at Toastmasters that help others to improve their public speaking, she also mentioned that if you do not feel comfortable taking part in the activity there is no pressure and you can sit and listen.
If you are interested in the Ennis Toastmasters and may want to join, their next meeting will take place next Tuesday, the 5th of September at the Temple Gate Hotel from 8pm-10pm.
If you are unable to attend that meeting you can find dates for their future meetings on their website here www.ennistoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org.
