A group of East Clare students have been recognised with a national award for a project designed to help teens recognise toxic relationships.
TY students at St Joseph’s Secondary School in Tulla this week fought off stiff competition to take the top prize in the ‘Relationships & Sexual Health’ category of the Young Social Innovators of the Year Award at Croke Park in Dublin.
The group, supported by teacher Deirdre Hogan, chose to explore the impact of abuse in relationships and to help those impacted to recognise warning signs.
Aisling Clarke, Emma Cooper, Kayley Cahill and their teacher and YSI guide, Deirdre Hogan spoke with Gavin about the accomplishment.
