Tuesday saw the students of St Anne’s Special School here in Ennis celebrate Universal Children’s Day in a very particular fashion.
With help from artist Shona MacGillvray and Clare Arts Office pupils from the school created a series of artworks depicting everything from ducks to dinosaurs. The paintings were photographed and then printed onto postcards allowing the kids to write a series of messages to friends, family and more. The messages centred around the theme of what it means to be a child in 2018. Our reporter Ryan Hanton went with the students to post their postcards early that morning.
