Specsavers Ennis Encourages Businesses To Join Down Syndrome Ireland National Employment Programme

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined lived in studio by Sean Power who is the Specsavers Ennis Retail Director along with Owen McDonagh who is currently working with Specsavers Ennis as part of Down Syndrome Ireland’s National Employment Programme. Sean discussed World Down Syndrome Day which is being marked by Specsavers involvement in Down Syndrome Ireland’s National Employment Programme. He highlighted the importance of this programme which encourages employers across Ireland to consider adults with down syndrome for roles. Sean mentioned the role Owen plays in the business and complimented him on the progress he has made since joining the team in May 2022. Owen described his daily tasks while working with Specsavers in their Ennis store and also stated his delight with being involved in such a friendly and encouraging working team.
