An event will take place in Sixmilebridge on September 6 to commemorate the final public address given by Limerick-born Donogh O’Malley, who served as Minister for Education in 1968.
The event is being organised by the Sixmilebridge Historical Society, with support from Michael O’Dwyer.
The current Minister for Education and the President of Engineers Ireland are among those expected to attend.
