The cold snap has just about passed, with a yellow weather alert for low temperature/ice in place for Clare and the rest of the country expiring at noon today (Friday).
The cold weather has seen countless services impacted throughout Ireland, with school closures in counties Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny and Laois.

To discuss this furhter, Alan Morrissey was joined by Joe Cooney, Bodyke Fine Gael TD and former Councillor and Michael Shannon, Quilty Fianna Fáil Councillor.
