On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Jean O’Halloran who is a local Clare Team Hope volunteer. Jean discussed the 2022 Christmas Shoebox Appeal. The group are aiming to help 200,000 children in 13 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe, by delivering as many gift-filled shoeboxes to children in poverty as possible. The Team Hope Shoebox Week will take place this year from October 31st to November 6th.
There are several drop off points across Clare. Toymaster on the Quin Road, the Clare Tyre Centre on the Limerick Road, Dealz and Midwest Tyres in Shannon, Vaughan’s and Cooney’s Hardware in Tulla and Bane’s Gift Shop in Scariff. Flatpacks are also available for people in Jimmy’s Discount Store and Dealz for those who don’t have access to a shoebox.All information regarding the appealand how you can contribute are available on www.teamhope.ie.
