Residents of an estate in South East Clare say they have been vomiting because of a persistent nauseous odour right beside their houses this week.
Ballycanon Heights in Meelick was built back in 1982 with a sewage treatment station that residents say was only ever to be temporary. They’ve been told in recent months that a new utility will be up and running by 2021 – almost 40 years after the houses first went up. Clare FM’s James Mulhall visited Ballycannon Heights, where he spoke to some of those affected by nausea-inducing odours.
