On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Pat O’Brien who is the Chief Officer of Fire & Rescue with the Airport Police Fire Service at Shannon Airport. Pat spoke about the arrival of the electric medical response vehicle called ‘Rescue 14’ to Shannon airport, with the airport being the first in Ireland to boast a vehicle as such. He described the reason behind having the vehicle which is to treat anyone who may suffer with a medical emergency at the airport. Pat also described the vehicle as a whole and what it is composed of along with the carbon benefits that it will have for the airport.
