Today marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of Irish comedian Dermot Morgan.
The comic is fondly remembered in this county for his role as Fr Ted Crilly, when Channel 4 shot many iconic scenes in the Kilfenora area and, indeed, in other parts of Clare.
John Morgan was one of those from the community who was deeply involved in the production, sourcing props and locations and later getting involved in the Fr Ted Festival in Kilfenora.
