Rare Ireland are hosting a Cold Water Dip in Spanish Point this coming weekend, on the 24th February at 1pm.
Rare Ireland is an Irish charity that was set up to support the families of children and young adults living with rare conditions. It currently represents 1,700 families affected by rare conditions.
Saturday’s fundraising event is part of the efforts to mark Rare Disease Day 2024, which will take place on the 29th of February.
To discuss this further, Peter O’Connell was joined by Anne Micks, the Chair of Irish EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome), and Rare Diseases Ireland Board Member.
Peter was also joined by June Curtin, Founder of Snamhaí Sásta.
