On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Shirley O’Brien who is living with multiple sclerosis and is from Clare along with John McDonald who is a Community Worker with Multiple Sclerosis Ireland. They spoke ahead of World MS Day which is set to take place on Tuesday 30th of May. Shirley described her battle with multiple sclerosis and highlighted the way in which her MS diagnosis altered her life. John looked ahead to the upcoming World MS Day information fair that is taking place on Tuesday May 30th in the Radisson Blu in Limerick. He described the information stands that will be present on the night which will cover finance, Benefits & entitlements, personal transport & driving, employment & training, housing, migrants and advocacy. The aim of the day is to bring the MS community together to share stories and raise awareness regarding multiple sclerosis.
