On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Charlie O’Meara who is the Clare VFI Chair along with Darragh McAllister who is a publican and President of Ennis Chamber. They outlined the findings of a recent survey by the Vintners’ Federation of Ireland which revealed that publicans are growing increasingly confident regarding the future of their bars, despite increasing costs in energy, insurance and other costs. Charlie highlighted the various challenges facing publicans in the near future while Darragh commented on the current socialising trends of the people of Ireland.
