On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Blackie O’ Connell who is a musician and piper. Blackie discussed ‘Piping Heaven Piping Hell’ which is an upcoming piping festival that is set to take place in Ennis on Friday 7th of April and Saturday 8th of April. He previewed the event which is taking place for the second year in a row that will commemorate famed uilleann and bagpiper Pat Broderick who passed away in 2020. He spoke about expanding the festival this year, with piping sessions taking place all over Ennis. Blackie also previewed events taking place over the weekend and previewed plans for the future of the festival.
