After a long wait the starting gun has been fired on the race for the leadership of Fine Gael. At midnight last night, Wednesday, Enda Kenny officially stepped down as head of the party.

However, he’ll stay on as Taoiseach until the process of picking his successor is complete on June 2nd.

Pat Breen spoke to Gavin on Thursday morning to look back at Enda’s leadership but refused to be drawn on who he is supporting as the new leader.
