On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Brian Collins who is a former international rower from Parteen. Brian described his recent involvement with a ten man team consisting of former international and Olympic oarsmen who recently broke the 24-hour world indoor rowing record. The world record attempt which took place at the Garda Boat Club in Dublin saw the group beat the original record held by a group of rowers from Texas. Brian spoke about raising money for the Gavin Glynn Foundation who help families of children battling cancer to travel overseas for treatment not available in Ireland.
