On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan spoke to Maura McMahon, Regional Fundraising and Development Officer for Mid West Focus Ireland. Maura discussed the record number of homeless people in Ireland currently and the reasons for this. Currently in County Clare, there are 57 homeless people, with 30 of these being children. She mentioned the Focus Ireland Christmas Jumper Day as a way of raising funds for the homeless. Focus Ireland are calling on all schools, colleges and businesses from the 7th of November, to decide on a day where everyone wears a Christmas jumper, in order to raise much needed funds for the homeless in Ireland.
