New Women’s Health Action Plan Launched

The new Women’s Health Action Plan, launched late last week by the Department of Health, pledges further investment to expand and develop new women’s health services. This includes initiatives like the Free Contraception Scheme, which is being extended by a further 4 years to women aged 17–35.

The proposed expansion of termination of pregnancy services and continued implementation of period poverty measures are also included in the second phase of the Women’s Health Action Plan 2024–2025.
