People in recovery from addiction are being urged to take part in a new initiative in County Clare. Coming together through Music & Song – Supporting Recovery is a social and musical gathering which will begin in both Ennistymon and Ennis next week. Alan was joined by Kirsty Donnellan who is a project worker with Cocaine Initiative at Bushypark along with Kate Daly and Brid Kivneen who are co-facilitating the programme. They discussed the benefits of the programme and the release that music can give to a person who is recovering from addiction. They also called on anyone who may be interested to come forward and participate.
The initiative is set to begin in Ennistymon at the North West Clare Family Resource Centre on Wednesday 26th of April and in Ennis at Bushypark Family Resource Centre on Thursday 27th of April. Both events will be on between 7:30pm and 9pm.
