New Government For Ireland, Two New Senators For Clare

Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin was appointed Taoiseach at the weekend, after more than three decades in politics.

But is first days in office have not been without controversy, particularly over the lack of a senior Minister from West of the Shannon.

Nonetheless, he did bolster Clare’s political representation, as both Timmy Dooley (FF) and Roisín Garvey (Greens) were appointed to the Seanad.
