New German Film To Be Shot In Kilkee

German film crews will be descending on Kilkee next month to begin filming on a production for one of Germany’s largest broadcsters.

The title of this film translates as Clueless in Ireland, and it will begin shooting in Kilkee on July 22nd – It’s being made by an Irish production company, Treehouse Media, for one of Germany’s largest TV channels, ARD.

The production will be COVID-19 compliant, with strict safety measures in place, and those behind it say the seaside resort was chosen for its stunning scenery and ease of access to Shannon Airport.

On Thursday, Gavin spoke with Clare County Arts Officer Siobhan Mulcahy and with Paddy McCarney, who will be the film’s Location Manager.
