The Cabinet has signed off on the National Development Plan – Project Ireland 2040. The plan commits to spending more than €165 billion euro on capital projects.
The plan includes a number of projects in Clare, with Government commitment on progressing the Shannon River Crossing/ Killaloe Bypass, as well developments in conjunction with Shannon Commercial Properties.
Under the plan, Shannon Airport will continue to be supported in its role as a key tourism and business gateway for the region, particularly with regard to the development of niche markets.
