On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Dr Susan Coote who is a Physiotherapist, Associate Professor in Physiotherapy in the Department of Clinical Therapies at UL and is working with MS Ireland. She was accompanied by Fergal O’Keefe who is the Communications Officer with MS Ireland. The pair spoke about the upcoming fundraiser where MS Ireland will call on the public to do 3,000 push ups over the month of March. This challenge is part of an initiative to raise funds for MS Ireland in order to obtain more physiotherapists nationwide. Fergal outlined the health benefits of carrying out such a task and gave details of how to register for the fundraiser. Susan outlined the various types of push ups that there are in order to facilitate every individual wishing to take part in the fundraiser.
