On Monday’s Morning Focus Alan Morrissey was joined by Nolette Darcy a parent affected by the cancellation of a school bus route to discuss the update on the School Bus Service.
The cancellation of the route, from Cratloe through Coolycasey, into Sixmilebridge and onto the secondary schools in Shannon, has left parents altering their travel plans in the morning resulting in delays getting to work, due to the lack of a school bus service for their children.
We have been in touch with Nollette once again to get an update on the situation.
Nolette spoke about a private bus company willing to take the route with certain conditions which did not meet the needs of children and parents affected and also highlighted the compensation Bus Éireann was willing to offer the families affected.
