Would You Have An Issue With Rebel Songs Being Played In Pubs?

The owners of a bar in Wexford town have publicly apologised to a musician after he had initially been told not to play Irish rebel songs.

There have been previous controversies in relation to rebel songs, from the Irish women’s soccer team’s celebrations following their qualification from last summer’s World Cup or the Wolfe Tones’ performance at Electric Picnic.

To discuss this further, Alan Morrissey was joined by Damian Gormley, a local musician who performs in pubs, and Darragh McAllister, a former pub owner.
