Historian’s Lecture On Ballygastel Outrage

On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Joe Queally, a local historian and author from Fanore and John Hehir, north Clare historian to discuss the Ballygastel outrage.

The Ballygastel outrage involved a man from Mullingar in Co. Westmeath, who was a constable in the RIC, and who was killed on the night of September 11, 1887.

The Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon is the venue for his talk and lecture on the Ballygastel Outrage next Monday the 9th of October.
