On Wednesday’s Morning Focus Pat Flynn was joined in studio by John Maloney, Secretary of The Burren Cycling Club, Philip Colleran, from Clarecastle who was part of the 1990 Clare Cycle Team and now with Dolmen Cycling Club and Barry Sutton also part of the 1990 Clare Cycle Team now with Greenmount Cycling Academy.
The trio were on to discuss an event to honour the Clare Ràs Team of 1990 and support the Burren Cycling Club’s Ràs team for 2023. The teams are going to recreate the Stage 6 finish of 1990 when Barry Sutton crossed the finish line in first place in Clonmel. All are welcome to Barefield this Saturday the 13th of May at 9.30am at Hassett’s Bar.
