Journalism students from University of Limerick are undoubtedly in good spirits, after they received an impressive 16 nominations for this year’s National Student Media Awards, which are better known as the Smedias.
The great news from a Clare perspective is that a Banner native is up for a total of nine of the awards.
Six of Molly Cantwell’s nominations are for individual prizes, while she is also nominated for three awards, as part of the team responsible for UL’s Limerick Voice newspaper.
