Last Year Clare Co. Council collected €134,527 in parking fines, more then a €40,000 increase since 2019.
3,315 motorists in Clare received a fixed charge notice for parking violations over the last 12 months.

Since the last pre-pandamic year, the number of people prosecuted for parking violations in Clare has grown by over 900.
Councillor Joe Garrihy spoke about incorrect parking in tourist areas such as the Cliffs of Moher.
Councillor Ann Norton highlighted the distribution of parking tickets to motorists parked in disabled bays without a permit in places such as Lahinch and Kilkee.
