Two young Clare artists are celebrating after being shortlisted for the prestigious AIB Young Portrait Prize 2026.
11-year-old Michael Ryan from Ennis has been shortlisted for his oil painting My Grandad’s Smile, while 15-year-old Eve Harrigan from Shannon has been recognised for her piece You Belong Here.

Ivy Borden, artist from Ballyvaughan with her piece Oikos Logia, also was shortlisted for the AIB Portrait Prize 2026.
Their work will go on display at the National Gallery of Ireland later this year.
