Gardaí are urging motorists to watch out for black ice, following heavy snowfall in parts of Clare yesterday.
A status yellow warning for low temperatures remains in place for the entire country until Thursday, and some parts of the Banner County remain affected by a blanket of snow.

Meanwhile, around 537 properties in Clare remain without power following the adverse weather conditions.
