When we were last joined by James Lafferty, the Irish Red Cross Clare Honorary Treasurer, he told us that he was in the running for the Irish Red Cross National Volunteer Of The Year award.
Well, the good news – and we never doubted it for one second – is that James did it!

James was nominated in two categories and, to no surprise, was crowned Irish Red Cross national volunteer of the year!
James said himself in an email to the volunteers the night before the award ceremony, ‘we are all winners in Clare, no matter what happens’.
