The countdown is on to one of the highlights of the traditional music calendar as the 39th Feakle Festival gets underway from the 5th to the 10th of August.
With six days of concerts, workshops, céilís, singing sessions and world-class traditional music, the festival continues to attract performers and visitors from across Ireland and around the globe.
This year’s programme also celebrates the rich musical heritage of East Clare, with a special opening night presentation by Tulla fiddle player, Sorcha Costello.
Joining Alan Morrissey on the show were festival organiser, Aoife Hayes and Sorcha Costello to tell us what’s in store for this year’s festival.
