Ballinruan Native On Struggles Of Gay Catholic Priests

Many gay priests are struggling under the current teachings of the Catholic Church.

That is according to a Clare native, who has spent many years attempting to bridge the divide between the Catholic Church and the LGBT+ community.

Michael Moloney, who hails from Ballinruan, has been travelling around Europe as an unpaid missionary since 2007.

On his travels, he visits places where gay people congregate and speaks to them about God.
