On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey visited the Community Centre in Clonlara where a large crowd turned out to welcome the cyclists for the fundraising cycle in memory of Helen O’Leary (née Guinane)
Eoghan O’Leary tragically lost his wife Helen to breast cancer at the age of 32. Eoghan from West Cork and and his late wife Helen from Clonlara were married less than 8 months when Helen was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer in January of 2019.
Eoghan and a group of friends set off on a trek from Malin Head in Donegal to Mizen Head in Cork where they cycled over 650 km across 6 days with all funds raised going towards three charities.
