In the wake of legendary musician Chris Droney’s passing on Wednesday night, tributes and messages of condolences have poured in from the people of Clare.
The 95 year old was a renowned concertina player and a renowned gentleman.
On Friday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to John Lynch, leader of the Kilfenora Céilí Band, Gearóid Ó hAllmhuráin, Irish ethnomusicologist, author, musician and historian and presenter of the West Wind on Clare FM, Therese McInerney. All three shared their memories of the legend that was Chris Droney.
