Firstly, Clare FM’s Sport Editor, Derrick Lynch, reported from the All-Ireland Homecoming last night.
Next, Alan spoke with Fianna Fáil Councillor and Cathaoirleach of West Clare Municipal District, Rita McInerney, about her priorities for the West Clare MD.
Following that, Shannon Fine Gael Councillor Tony Mulcahy and Clarecastle-based Sinn Féin Councillor Tommy Guilfoyle joined Alan to discuss retraining courses for motorists convicted of speeding or dangerous driving, and a new graduated penalty points system.
Alan then welcomed Senior Executive Officer for West Clare MD, Colette Costelloe, and Chair of Kilrush Town Team, Charlie Glynn.
Next, we had our weekly Garda Focus segment with Clare Crime Prevention Officer, Sgt. Catríona Holohan.
Pauline Dunleavy, a member of the Kilrush art group, then joined Alan to talk about her upcoming exhibition at the Clare Museum.
Alan was also joined by Daniel O’Donnell, who discussed his tour of the US and Canada and told us more about the upcoming tour in Ireland.
Afterwards, Clare Fianna Fáil Senator Timmy Dooley spoke with Alan about the TV licence fee.
Next, Kilrush musician Teresa Carrig told us about her debut album “Roots of Love” and performed a song for us.
Later, Clare FM’s Peter O’Connell spoke with the Head Coach of Shannon Dragons Dragon Boat Club, Jessica O’Keefe, about their time in China.
