Morning Focus Hunting Debate Continues

On Wednesday’s show Alan chatted with John Carmody, the founder of ARAN – the Animal Rights Action Network – about Minister of State for Heritage, Malcolm Noonan’s announcement that the open season for wild bird hunting would open today.
The chat sparked a big response, with many listeners getting in touch. On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by listener Jim Spellissy, who lives on the Tulla Road. Jim  shared his dismay at tame ducks being hunted in urban areas.
Alan was then joined by John Butler, National Chairman of The National Association of Regional Game Councils to give a hunter’s perspective.
