Support Milford Fair Hospice Fund Day helps fund current service provision and the development of their 34-bed specialist in-patient palliative care unit in Castletroy, which is expected to open in 2017.
This is the 30th year in which Milford Hospice has held an annual event to attract public support. Dr. McNamara, whose father Peadar, a well-known and widely respected artist, teacher, singer, healthcare activist and trade unionist, died in 2011 following a short illness, has urged the people of Clare to support Milford Fair Hospice Fund Day in Limerick. Over a number of weeks Peadar McNamara received specialist palliative care from Milford Care Centre, both at its in-patient facility in Castletroy and in his own home from Milford’s Clare Hospice at Home Team.
