Marc Ó’Riain Previews Ennis Book Club Festival And Discusses His New Book

On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Marc Ó’ Riain from Kilkee who holds an MA in Writing from the University of Galway and is a part – time creative writing tutor. Mark previewed the upcoming Ennis Book Club Festival which is set to take place this weekend and discussed his latest book called ‘The Last Of The Light’. He described the book in it’s entirety which captures his own personal connection with Loop Head Peninsula and the passing of his late brother Emmet ‘Hopper’ Ryan. He also discussed his own personal achievements which include being shortlisted for a Hennessy New Irish Writing Award and a Gregory O’ Donoghue International Poetry Prize.
Marc is set to be present at the Clare Writers Event at the Ennis Book Club Festival on Sunday at 2pm at the Ennis Courthouse alongside Aoibhín Garrihy.
