On Wednesday’s Morning Focus Alan Morrissey caught up with Martin and Seán Ó Malley of Malbay Studios who have recently been awarded the prestigious MÓRglór award for their vital contributions to music in the Banner county.
Malbay Studios, under the direction of Martin, Anne, and Seán O’Malley, has been an integral part of the musical landscape of Clare, hosting music makers from a whole host of backgrounds and traditions. The studio celebrates 25 years in existence this year.
The people of Clare and musicians across the country will come together for a concert in glór on Saturday October 22nd, to acknowledge a depth of gratitude to Malbay Studios for their enormous contribution to traditional Irish music.
