Today (Thurs, Sept 26) is ‘Make Way Day’, which gave us an opportunity on Morning Focus to highlight the obstacles that can cause issues for those with disabilities on a daily basis.
The event is part of a national campaign organised by the Disability Federation of Ireland and you’re invited to play your part by sharing images of obstacles around the county. Include #makewayday #makewayClare and to tag @makewayday and @disabilityfed in the post. If you don’t use social media, you can email [email protected] with pictures and they’ll share them through their own social media and website.
Grace Brooks and RoisÃn Glynn, who work for the Brothers of Charity, were joined by Connie Commane and Clare Nagle, Chairperson of the Ennis Self Advocacy Group, as they told us more.
