Elaine Bennett is on a mission to raise money for her daughter’s special preschool class and their Lilac Room facility in Ballina.
The Lilac Room is an early intervention special preschool class at Boher National School and caters for children between the ages of 3 and 5 who have autism.
Elaine hopes to make a small difference by running a half marathon on Saturday to raise funds in support of the Lilac Room.
The campaign is raising funds to enable the staff at Boher NS to purchase some new equipment for their Sensory Room, which will help the children with sensory regulation, gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and communication and language development.
