Lack Of Clarity In Back To School Plans

Education providers across Clare are being warned to prepare for covid outbreaks in unvaccinated children when schools return.

The HSE is said to be in discussions with the Department of Education about the provision of antigen testing in schools and colleges from Autumn.

Schools are still awaiting clarity on this and in relation to a special status which had previously been granted to pregnant teachers which didn’t require them to teach in-person during the pandemic.
