As of midnight last night, a travel ban on passengers from the UK has been enacted for 48 hours to prevent the spread of a new strain of Covid-19. The new strain is believed to be 70% more transmissible and Britain’s Health Secretary has said the new variant is “out of control” there. What’s known about the new strain of the coronavirus?
