There are high hopes for Ivanna McMahon who hails from Barefield, as she is representing Ireland at this year’s Miss World competition.
Ivanna, who was Miss Ireland 2022, is one of 112 women competing for the title at the 71st Miss World in India.

Miss World 2023 is being held in Mumbai this Saturday, with the lead-up to the event having gotten underway in India on February 18th last.
Rosanna Davison was the last Irish woman to be named Miss World, back in 2003.
On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey spoke with Ivanna all the way from India, as she continues her preparations for Saturday.
