On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Corofin native, Ciara Corbett, member of the Irish Banshees, Ireland’s National Women’s AFL team. The Irish National Women’s AFL team has just recently won the 2023 AFL Euro Cup for the fourth time in a row!
Ciara discussed how she was first introduced to the sport and how her career progressed and led to where she is now.

She also highlighted how competitive the sport is. Ciara explained that the Irish Banshees have now set their eyes on their next challenge, the International Cup in Australia.
